The Elm curb is back and fitted to the tower.  It's now, within tolerances, circular and without gaps, which means it's about 5cm smaller in diameter.  It's level on its new oak legs and the newly made cogs are in place although not fixed - they'll have to wait for the track to be bolted on to the curb.  The gap between the curb and the tower is being packed out with bits of slate and tile and the brickwork made up flush.  Since the curb is now slightly smaller the top layer of bricks is being trimmed a little to allow room for the worm to engage the cogs.

Further down the mill repairs to the brickwork and repointing continue as does work to the windows and the back door.

The repaired curb is back on the mill and level on its new legs.

This template was used to ensure the worm had enough space to properly engage with the cogs as the curb is now 5cm smaller than it was.

Giles has shaped the topmost bricks to ensure room for the worm.

Krzysztof has been refitting the back door which, as well as a coat of paint or two, has had some of the frame and the sill replaced.

John has been glossing the windows and the repaired worm carriage.

The worm awaits the repaired carriage.

Inside the cap the old reinforcements to the cap ciircle have been replaced with mild steel. The 'Sprattle' has also been reinforced.
