Pennington Lane – Bloor Homes

The Parish Council Chairman has this morning written to Bloor Homes:

“We have received the attached letter and Master Plan from Engage Planning notifying us of Bloor Homes’ intention to submit an outline planning application for a residential development of 168 houses on land to the west of Pennington Lane.

I am writing on behalf of the Parish Council to ask you to consider deferring such an application until a full and proper public consultation can be held in the form of an exhibition attended by your staff and/or planning consultants at which members of the public can see, and question, the detail of the proposals.  With the nation in “lockdown”, this is not an appropriate time to launch a significant proposal which you are fully aware is likely to stimulate much public comment.

The Parish Council would also like to record, at this stage, its grave concerns relating to the accuracy of your highways surveys as it would seem that these were undertaken during the February half-term period and will not reflect the true position of the highways – particularly those in the vicinity of Bentfield Primary School.

I look forward to your response.”
