Big Garden Watch

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds is asking members of the public to get involved this month in its Big Garden Birdwatch. The event lasts from January 29-31. Read more

Mind Your PPE

The public are minded whenever possible to dispose of plastic gloves and surgical masks in domestic waste bins. This is in order to limit the spread of the Covid 19 virus and assist Uttlesford District Waste Collection service that is stretched as a result of high volumes of domestic waste after the festive season and the current pandemic. 

Roadworks – Church Road

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Church Road will be closed for 7 days from 27th January for the safety of the public and workforce while BT undertakes spine cabling works.

Lockdown 3 – Business Funding

Businesses are encouraged to hurry to apply for financial support to help cope with the move into higher tiers as a result of the pandemic. Funding is available under three council-backed schemes, some of which will be awarded on a ‘first come-first served’ basis till funds are exhausted.
