Business are invited to get involved in a campaign to promote our high street

PUBLICITY FOR OUR HIGH STREET

The team behind Discover Uttlesford are eager to hear from Stansted businesses that wish to be involved in their campaign to boost customer visits to Uttlesford’s high streets.

A film crew will be in the village this week putting a video together to show off Stansted’s best independent shops, places to eat and drink, tourist spots and heritage sites.

Owners of businesses that would like to participate should email sarah@sarahbeemarketing.com. Organisers stress there are no fees for participants and add they will do their best to feature firms that miss out on spots in the film in other bits of campaign publicity.

Other than Stansted, the spot light will also be shone on businesses in Thaxted, Saffron Walden, Great Dunmow.

You can find out more about the district council-backed campaign by signing up for a virtual launch event on Zoom this Wednesday at 10am.

Annual Parish Meeting on Wednesday, March 16

ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

This year will be the first opportunity in two years to hold our Annual Parish Meeting – this event being just one of the things the pandemic  has managed to disrupt of the usual routine of parish council life.

Meetings such as this offer a fantastic opportunity for the community and Councillors to come together in a public setting.

You are free to discuss the issues that matter most to you, unencumbered by the trappings of modem technology that everyone has had to embrace during the Covid Crisis to overcome the constraints on In-person get-togethers.

The Day Centre at 72 Chapel Hill will be the venue for this year’s meeting, which will be held on March 16 at 7 .30pm. The venue affords plenty of space for residents to attend.

You will be able to meet our Councillors and ask questions directly to the chamber. You can read the agenda opposite but are free to raise any matters that you feel need to be aired. We look forward to seeing you there.
