Enter Discover Uttlesford’s photo competition – free to enter and open to all ages – and you could win a new digital camera.

Our village nestles among some of the most picturesque countryside in Essex and Discover Uttlesford would like to see photographic images that you have taken, that reflect the true beauty of our area.  Your subjects might include landscapes, buildings, plants and animals.

If you’ve taken a great photo in Uttlesford, then they want to see it!

The prize is a Canon IXUS 185 20MP 8x Zoom Compact Digital Camera Bundle or equivalent.

The winning entry will be printed as a postcard, which will be distributed across the district.

To enter the competition, please complete the entry form below and return it to us, together with your image, by email to discover@uttlesford.gov.uk no later than 5pm on 23 April 2022.

RULES

  • The image must be of a subject in Uttlesford it should help to promote what a great place Uttlesford is to visit.
  • It can be a landscape or portrait layout.
  • It can be taken on a mobile phone, camera or smart device.
  • It can be in colour or black and white and can feature landscapes, buildings, plants, animals, aerial and action.
  • If it features people or other persons property, you should seek their permission to use the image.
  • The image must have been taken by you (and not be stock photography from the internet).
  • The competition is free to enter and open to all ages of residents of Uttlesford as well as visitors.

One entry submission per person.

The closing date for entries is 5pm on 23 April 2022.
The winner will be announced on the Discover Uttlesford website and their social media channels* on 23 May 2022.
The judges’ decision is final.

There is no cash alternative.

By entering the Discover Uttlesford photo competition, you give us the right to use your image for marketing purposes e.g. on our website, in print format (as a postcard) and on our social media channels*.
You also give your permission for the image to be used for follow-up publicity.

Entries that are not accompanied by a completed entry form will be deemed invalid.
