Bloor Homes – Update

BLOOR HOMES – UPDATE

The Parish Council has, this week, asked our MP Kemi Badenoch and our County Councillor Ray Gooding to get on board the campaign to persuade Bloor Homes to defer submission of their proposed planning application.  Uttlesford District Council has been in contact with Bloor Homes also.  We have had many enquiries from parishioners about how, or indeed whether, to respond to the Bloor Homes “consultation”.  Our thoughts are available on our website (www.stansted.net under NEWS) and reproduced here.

The Parish Council’s advice to residents currently is to wait for the application to be formally submitted to Uttlesford District Council and then submit comments using the UDC planning website or by writing a letter or email.  If comments are submitted to Bloor ahead of that time it gives them an opportunity to amend their plan and to claim that they have taken note of public comment.  We would suggest that the only feedback that you give via the Bloor Homes website would be to request a delay in submitting the application until such time as a proper and meaningful public consultation can take place.
