FREE FESTIVE PARKING
Uttlesford District Council has announced dates when you can park for free in its car parks in the run up to Christmas.
In Stansted, parking will be free in the Lower Street and Crafton Green car parks on the below dates and times.
- From 12noon on Tuesday afternoons in November: 1/11, 8/11, 15/11 and 22/11 (but not the 29th)
- All day on Friday, November 25 & Saturday, November 26
- Over the Christmas period from Monday, December 26 to Monday, January 2 (inclusive)
There will be stickers indicating free parking times on the ticket machines in each of the car parks. Card-only machines will be set to free for the above dates & times. The machines will be covered on dates set for free all-day parking. UDC have also requested that the MiPermit app will be set to free for these dates & times.
The free parking dates are part of efforts by the district council to support high streets in Uttlesford as they fight to recover from the pandemic and confront a tough trading environment.
