M11 junctions 6 to 7 northbound – resurfacing
Essential resurfacing work is being carried out on the M11 northbound between junctions 6 and 7 over the next 2 weeks
The work is required to refresh faded road markings and replace missing road studs. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a smoother, better defined road surface.
Closures and diversions will be in operation between 8pm and 6am, on weeknights only until the work is completed on Thursday, March 17 – weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M11 northbound between junctions 6 and 7 and the entry slip roads at junctions 6 and 7, traffic will be diverted via a clearly signed diversion route as detailed below:
M11 northbound junction 7 entry slip road closed – diversion
While the M11 carriageway and junction 7 entry slip is closed, northbound traffic will be diverted off the M11 at junction 6 onto the M25, A10 and A120 before re-joining the M11 at junction 8, Birchanger Roundabout.
M11 northbound junction 7 entry slip open – diversion
While the M11 carriageway is closed and the junction 7 entry slip is open, northbound traffic will be diverted off the M11 at junction 6 onto the M25, A10 and A414 before re-joining the M11 at junction 7, Hastingwood Interchange.
M25 link closure
M25 eastbound traffic wanting to join the M11 northbound will stay on the M25 until junction 28, turn around and return towards the M11 before joining the M11 northbound at junction 6.
