M11 Junction 7 to 10 are affected by roadworks in October

M11 ROADWORKS

National Highways have provided an update on the their work affecting the M11, junctions 7 to 10 in October.

Please note these roadworks are separate from the schedule of work being completed to A120 Birchanger Roundabout that we reported on earlier this week.

All of the improvement work to junctions 7 to 10 on the M11 will take place between 9pm and 5am.

M11 junction 8 to junction 10 northbound closure

  • Monday 10 October to Friday 28 October, 9pm to 5am.

Traffic will be diverted off the M11 at junction 8 towards the A120, A10 and A505 before re-joining the M11 at junction 10.

M11 junction 9 to junction 10 – Northbound Closure

  • Saturday 22 October 5am to Monday 24 October 5am.

Traffic will be diverted off the M11 at Junction 9 on the A11 to A1307 Fourwentways, traffic to then follow A505 westbound to M11 Junction 10.

M11 junction 8 to 7 – southbound closure

  • Saturday 29 October to Sunday 30 October, 9pm to 5am (overnight only).

M11 northbound traffic wishing to travel east will continue on the M11 to junction 9a before re-joining the M11 southbound to exit at junction 8, Birchanger Green Roundabout. (Diagram 1)

A120 eastbound traffic will be diverted northbound on the M11 towards junction 9a before re-joining the M11 southbound to exit at junction 8, Birchanger Green Roundabout and continue east.

Non motorway users:

Eastbound traffic will be diverted from the A120 along the B1383, then turn right to follow Forest Hall Road and Church Road, before travelling south along Bury Lodge Lane and Round Coppice Road to join the A120 at Priory Wood Roundabout.

M11 junction 10 to junction 8 – southbound closure

  • Monday 31 October to Monday 12 December, 9pm to 5am

Traffic will be diverted off the M11 junction 10 towards the A505, A10 and A120 before re-joining the M11 at junction 8.

There will be various lane closures around Birchanger roundabout (junction 8) in place until January 2023.
