A diversion will be in play this weekend due to the late closure of northbound traffic on the M11 between J7 to J8

M11 WEEKEND CLOSURE

National Highways have an additional closure of the M11 to add to the series of ones they have already announced.

M11 northbound junction 7 to 8: drainage renewal

They were unable to carry out all the work required over the weekends they had originally planned. So this weekend from Friday 25 March, 8pm to Monday 28 March, 6am the M11 will be closed northbound between Junctions 7 to 8 to complete the work.

There will also be some overnight closures required from Sunday 3 April to Thursday 7 April between 8pm and 6am. This will be to remove all traffic management.

Whilst these closures are in place, traffic will be diverted as below:

A diversion will be in play this weekend due to the late closure of northbound traffic on the M11 between J7 to J8

Whilst these closures are in place, northbound traffic will be diverted off at junction 7 onto the A414, A10 and A120 to re-join the M11 at junction 8.

Emergency access during the weekend closures

As part of the weekend closure listed above, National Highways will be carrying out full depth reconstruction work across the entire northbound carriageway. Due to the nature of this work, they will not be in a position to accommodate escorts for any emergency service vehicles and they kindly ask that on this occasion you follow the signed diversion route. They understand this may come as an inconvenience to your crews but we believe this is the safest option.
